Professor Ji Hoon Park's research lab specializes in advancing minimally invasive medical technologies and innovative therapeutic strategies for chronic diseases. The lab focuses on improving endoscopic procedures—such as duodenal mucosal resurfacing and epidural steroid injections—through novel materials and non-thermal ablation techniques. It also explores genetic markers in cancer (e.g., BRCA mutations in pancreatic cancer) and enhances biomedical delivery systems, including microneedle patches and phase change materials for energy storage. The overarching goal is to develop safer, more effective, and targeted interventions with reduced side effects and improved patient outcomes.

A Dual-Path Ethernet Module (DPEM) is developed to improve Local Area Network (LAN)'s performance, High Availability (H/A) and security. Since a DPEM simply locates at the front end of any network device as a transparent add-on, it does not require sophisticated server reconfiguration. Our evaluation results show that the developed scheme is more efficient than conventional LAN structures in various aspects.

Sign Language Translation (SLT) aims to convert visual sign langauge into spoken language, bridging communication between deaf and hearing communities. Existing sign language translation research has improved performance by utilizing glosses in sign language datasets. However, due to the limitations of manually annotating glosses, gloss-free models have been proposed. Since these approaches do not teach glosses in a supervised manner, the model must infer glosses indirectly by utilizing spatially detailed information. However, previous studies have been limited by their inability to provide three-dimensional information of real-world space. To
