Professor Ji Hye Min's research lab specializes in abdominal and musculoskeletal radiology, with a primary focus on improving the diagnostic accuracy and prognostic prediction of liver and musculoskeletal diseases using advanced medical imaging techniques. The lab investigates the performance of MRI with various contrast agents—particularly gadoxetic acid-enhanced MRI—for early detection and characterization of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and other liver lesions, as well as the role of imaging features such as arterial enhancement patterns and microvascular invasion in guiding treatment decisions. The lab also explores the use of fusion imaging and BOLD MRI for lesion characterization and the association between muscle atrophy and neurological conditions like radiculopathy.
