Professor Ji-soo Oh's research lab focuses on the molecular and genetic mechanisms underlying cancer development and metabolic diseases, with a particular emphasis on colorectal cancer (CRC) and diabetic nephropathy. The lab investigates the roles of microRNAs, genetic polymorphisms in folate metabolism and miRNA machinery genes, and epigenetic regulation in cancer susceptibility and progression. Additionally, the lab explores the impact of metabolic regulators—such as SGLT2 inhibitors—on cellular homeostasis, including mitochondrial quality control and autophagy in diabetic conditions.

15We examined the effects of empagliflozin, a selective inhibitor of Na + -glucose cotransporter 2, on mitochondrial quality control and autophagy in renal tubular cells in a diabetic environment in vivo and in vitro. 본 연구의 목적은 초등학생 자녀를 둔 어머니의 사교육 현황, 인식과 정서 등 배경요인에 대한 인구사회학적 차이를 분석하여 사교육 실태를 파악하고, 이러한 사교육 현황, 인식, 정서가 자녀양육 스트레스에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것이다. 연구대상은 서울지역 초등학생 자녀를 둔 어머니 287명이었다. 자녀양육 스트레스 측정도구는 Abidin(1990)의 부모스트레스척도(Parenting Stress Index, PSI)를 서혜영(1992)이 번안한 것을 사용하였고, 사교육 실태 분석을 위해 현주(2003)의 조사도구를 부분적으로 발췌, 수정하여 사용하였다. 이 연구를 통해, 부모의 학력이 높고 직업이 전문직이거나 전업주부인 경우, 그리고 소득수준이 높을수록 사교육비를 많이 지출하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 그러나 자녀양육 스트레스는 사교육 투입 행동이나 정서보다 사교육에 대한 어머니의 인식과 관련이 높은 것으로 분석되었다.
