Professor Ji Soo Park's research lab focuses on translational and clinical oncology, with a strong emphasis on hereditary cancer syndromes, particularly in Asian populations. The lab investigates germline mutations in cancer susceptibility genes, including BRCA1/2 and other high- and moderate-penetrance genes, using comprehensive multigene panel testing in high-risk patients. They also explore the molecular mechanisms of environmental carcinogens, such as PHMG-p in humidifier disinfectants, examining epithelial toxicity, DNA damage, and oxidative stress pathways. Additionally, the lab contributes to clinical pharmacology and treatment optimization in advanced gastrointestinal cancers through prospective studies on chemotherapy sequencing and patient outcomes.
