Professor Jin Jeong's research lab specializes in diagnostic and interventional radiology, with a focus on improving the accuracy of medical imaging for cancer detection and management. The lab investigates advanced ultrasound and MRI techniques—particularly diffusion-weighted imaging and apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) mapping—for predicting axillary lymph node metastases in breast cancer. It also explores the utility of thyroglobulin measurement in fine-needle aspiration fluid to enhance the diagnosis of metastatic lymph nodes in thyroid cancer. Additionally, the lab contributes to clinical guidelines on Doppler ultrasonography and quality assurance in intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT).
