Professor Jisue Lee's research lab focuses on advanced materials development for energy storage and biomedical applications. The lab specializes in designing functional polymer electrolytes for lithium-ion batteries, with an emphasis on enhancing thermal stability and ionic conductivity through innovative network architectures. In parallel, the lab investigates dermatoscopic diagnostics for skin lesions and explores the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine, such as fire needling, in treating musculoskeletal disorders. Structureless patterns or globules/clods with purple, red, or blue coloration can be useful findings when differentiating VLs from LMM on dermoscopy. Therefore, dermoscopic evaluation is a helpful noninvasive ancillary tool in the diagnosis of VL.
Oral tofacitinib monotherapy improves nail involvement associated with AA. Nail involvement is not a poor prognosis factor in hair regrowth with tofacitinib treatment and there is no evident relationship between nail and hair responses.

Women in Suwon (Korea) were found to have a better profile of biophysical parameters than women in the 3 Chinese cities, which might be attributed to cosmetic habits, besides age and climatic factors. The fact that appropriate cosmetic habits are associated with favorable skin biophysical parameters underscores the importance of daily skin care routine in preserving skin functions.

Eccrine syringofibroadenoma (ESFA) is a rare, benign adnexal neoplasm which usually manifests as a solitary nodule on the extremities of elderly patients. Several dermatoses have been reported in association with Becker's nevus. Eczematous dermatitis associated with Becker's nevus is extremely rare, described in only two previous case reports. We report a case of 21-year-old male with recurrent eczema lesions which were always localized within the underlying Becker's nevus lesion. This case may be explained as a Wolf's isotopic response-like phenomenon.
