Professor Jo Young-seok's research lab specializes in developing innovative cancer therapeutics and diagnostic strategies by leveraging targeted drug delivery, tumor microenvironment modulation, and advanced imaging techniques. The lab focuses on overcoming tumor heterogeneity and resistance through novel prodrug systems, caspase-activated therapeutics, and nanocomplexes that enhance tumor-specific cytotoxicity while minimizing off-target effects. Key research directions include the design of smart prodrugs, TRAIL-based nanotherapeutics, and hybrid vesicles derived from immune cell membranes to improve immunotherapy efficacy.
