Professor Jong Hee Jang's research lab specializes in clinical and translational studies focusing on regenerative medicine and radiosurgical interventions for neurological disorders. The lab investigates mesenchymal stem cells from various sources for their therapeutic potential in incurable diseases, emphasizing their proliferation, differentiation, and paracrine functions. We assessed the appropriateness of current radiotherapy volume for WHO grade III gliomas. The records of 73 patients with WHO grade III gliomas who received postoperative radiotherapy between 2001 and 2013 were retrospectively reviewed. The epidermoid cyst may occasionally become malignant. Finding an area of enhancement through preoperative magnetic resonance imaging can help to make a correct diagnosis. Based on the review of previous reports, surgical removal followed by radiotherapy shows the best result to treat malignant epidermoid cysts.
