研究室紹介
Professor Jong-Seong Lee's research lab specializes in epidemiological studies of childhood allergic diseases, with a focus on asthma, rhinoconjunctivitis, and atopic dermatitis in the Korean population. The lab employs large-scale, nationwide cross-sectional surveys using standardized tools such as the ISAAC questionnaire to assess disease prevalence and identify environmental and genetic risk factors. Current research directions emphasize understanding the changing trends in allergic disease burden and their associations with urbanization, lifestyle changes, and environmental exposures. The lab also contributes to public health policy through evidence-based data on childhood allergy epidemiology in East Asia.

2The purpose of this study was to estimate the national prevalence of childhood asthma and other allergic diseases in Korea, and to determine potential risk factors for the diseases. Stratified random samples of 42,886 were selected from 34 elementary (6-12 yr olds) and 34 middle schools (12-15 yr olds) nationwide, and 38,955 were in the final analysis. The Korean-translated modified version of the International Study of Asthma and Allergies in Childhood questionnaire was used in this cross-secti
