Professor Jong-wook Kim's research lab focuses on translational and clinical biomedical research, with a strong emphasis on molecular mechanisms underlying cancer progression, metabolic syndrome, and urological disorders. The lab investigates key regulatory pathways such as Myc and microRNAs in tumorigenesis, explores the clinical implications of asymptomatic conditions like choledochal cysts, and examines the impact of metabolic health on prostate cancer risk. Additionally, the lab conducts preclinical and patient-centered studies on urodynamic dysfunction, bladder ischemia, and non-invasive interventions such as coenzyme Q10 supplementation and thermal support during diagnostic procedures.
