Professor Jung-hoon Shin's research lab specializes in power system stability and control, with a strong focus on the design, optimization, and field validation of Power System Stabilizers (PSS) for enhancing transient and small-signal stability in bulk power systems. The lab integrates advanced analytical techniques—such as linear and eigenvalue analysis, time-domain transient simulations, and on-line field testing—to refine control parameters and validate dynamic models of synchronous generators and excitation systems. Additionally, the lab extends its expertise into biomedical research, particularly in the clinical characterization of rare or early-onset diseases such as multiple myeloma in young adults. The lab also engages in architectural and cultural heritage studies, examining historical projects like the 1970 Osaka Expo Korean Pavilion to recover lost artistic and design intentions.

Clinicopathological characteristics of extremely young Korean multiple myeloma patients: therapeutic implications

본 논문에서는 전력계통에서 발생하는 저주파 진동을 억제하여 계통에 댐핑력을 제공함으로써 계통 안정도를 향상시킬 수 있는 전력계통 안정화장치의 정수선정 기법과 현장시험을 통한 성능검증 방법을 제시하였다. 대상 발전기는 우리나라 계통에 설치되어 있는 612[MVA]급 화력발전기이며, 축 속도를 입력으로 하는 아날로그 전력계통 안정화장치를 적용대상으로 하였다. 본 논문에서는 먼저, 오프라인에서 선형 해석 및 고유치 해석을 통하여 최적정수를 선정하는 기법을 제시하고, 시간영역 과도 안정도 해석을 이용하여 선정된 정수를 검증하였다(Part I). 또한, 선정된 전력계통 안정화장치의 성능을 온라인 현장시험을 통하여 최종적으로 검증하였으며, 정수선정 전 후의 오프라인 시뮬레이션 결과와 온라인 시험결과를 비교?분석함으로써, 결정된 모델의 적정성을 확인하였다(Part II). 이를 통하여, 축 속도를 입력으로 하는 PSS의 정수선정 방법과 실 계통 현장시험을 통한 성능검증 방법을 제시하였다.

이 논문은 20세기 후반기 한국미술의 논의에서 “현대”와 “현대미술”의 의미, 양상, 위상의 변화를 다른 인접 관념들, 즉 “근대”, “추상”, “구상”, “전위”와 변화하는 관계의 고려 속에서추적하는 시도이다. 이를 통해 현대미술이라 간주된 여러 실천과 담론이 있었으며 시기에 따른 그들의 변화를 파악하는 일이 한국미술의 역사를 이해하는 하나의 주요한 접근법임을 말하고자 한다. 한국미술의 역사서술에서 현대미술에 대한 논의는 흔히 그 기점에 대한 논의로 모아지곤 한다. 그래서 1957-8년인지, 아니면 시기가 올라가는지 혹은 내려오는지 등을 둘러싸고 진행되었다. 이는 새로운 사료를 발굴하고 정치한 학설들을 축적시켰다. 그리고 여러 전시들을 가능케 했다. 그러나 한국현대미술을 둘러싼 생산적인 논의는 그 기점이라 가정된 시기를 특정하는 일만은 아닐 것이다. 이 글은 그것이 무엇이든 현대미술은 언제나 시대특정적으로 정의되었고 당대에 그 의미나 가치, 설득력과 정당성을 둘러싸고 언제나 논란의

이 글의 목표는 1970년 EXPO ’70 한국관 미래전시실 전시를 위해 인간환경계획연구소가 수행한 2000년 한국의 미래상과 국토이용 구상을 살펴보는 것이다. 기존 EXPO ’70 한국관에 대한 논의에서 다루어진 바 없는 사례로서, 그 구상은 김수근을 비롯한 연구소의 건축가들이 1969년 말에 진행한 해외의 미래학과 한국의 미래상에 관한 발표와 토의에 근거를 두었다. 본 논문은 이 ‘미래학 세미나’와 전시설계 과정이 ‘공간적 도시주의’, ‘도카이도 메갈로폴리스’, ‘엑키스틱스’ 등 테크놀로지 지향의 건축과 도시에 관한 해외의 논의가 수용되고 동시에 그것들이 당대 한국의 맥락으로 굴절되는 장이 되었음을 주장한다. 특유의 ‘원시’에 대한 열망을 확인하고 이를 선진국의 미래주의적 낙관론과 구분지으면서 동시에 반문화적 태도와 전자문명시대의 재부족화(retribalization)를 주창하는 마셜 매크루헌의 영향과 관련지어 이해한다. 그리고 이 영향이 1971년 하와이 범태평양 건축상 수상
