Professor Juyoung Lee's research lab focuses on advancing precision medicine and biomedical engineering through interdisciplinary approaches. The lab investigates genetic and physiological factors underlying common diseases—particularly hypertension and metabolic disorders—among populations of African ancestry, emphasizing genetic risk variants and diagnostic accuracy in diverse populations. It also develops innovative wearable technologies for silent human-computer interaction and improves medical imaging techniques to enhance diagnostic reliability. The lab integrates genomics, clinical diagnostics, and biomedical device innovation to address health disparities and improve patient outcomes.

We propose a sensing technique for detecting finger movements on the nose, using EOG sensors embedded in the frame of a pair of eyeglasses. Eyeglasses wearers can use their fingers to exert different types of movement on the nose, such as flicking, pushing or rubbing. These subtle gestures can be used to control a wearable computer without calling attention to the user in public. We present two user studies where we test recognition accuracy for these movements.

금산 지역에서 잎들깨가 성장하는데 5~10마디까지는 30일 정도, 11~15마디까지는 60일 정도, 16~20마디까지는 45일 정도씩 소요되는 것으로 조사되었다. 생육시기별 잎들깨 잎과 줄기의 질소, 인산 및 칼리함량은 생육초기에는 비교적 높은 함량을 보이다가 생육후기로 가면서 점점 낮아지는 경향을 보였다. 질소와 칼륨 함량은 줄기보다 잎에서 그 함량정도의 변화가 큰 것으로 조사되었으며, 인산은 잎과 줄기 모두에서 함량 변화가 적었다. 잎들깨의 생육경과 일수에 따른 엽중 주요 다량원소의 평균함량을 연속적으로 조사한 결과 생육초기에는 높은 함량을 유지하다 후기에 낮아지는 경향을 보였다. 7월 1일에 조사된 성적을 보면 질소는 6.34 (5.73~6.95), 인 0.54 (0.43~0.65), 칼륨 2.48 (2.14~2.28), 칼슘 1.98 (1.81~2.12) 및 마그네슘 0.62 (0.43~0.81)%를 나타내었다. 최종 수확기 잎들깨의 양분흡수량은 질소 <TEX>$382{\pm
