Professor Kyeong-Min Jeong's research lab specializes in advanced materials and electrochemical systems, with a strong focus on energy storage technologies such as high-performance lithium-ion batteries and novel electrode architectures. The lab investigates fundamental electrochemical phenomena, including reaction heterogeneity, ion transport dynamics, and interfacial kinetics in composite electrodes, particularly in silicon–graphite anodes. In parallel, the lab explores 3D imaging and display technologies, emphasizing light field analysis, depth filtering, and distortion modeling in autostereoscopic displays. Frequency domain depth filtering of integral imaging

A novel technique for depth filtering of integral imaging is proposed. Integral imaging captures spatio-angular distribution of the light rays which delivers three-dimensional information of the object scene. The proposed method performs filtering operation in the frequency domain of the captured spatio-angular light ray distribution, achieving depth selective reconstruction. Grating projection further enhances the depth discrimination performance. The principle is verified experimentally.

Current Distribution and Current Efficiency in Pulsed Current Plating of Nickel

A mathematical model is presented to obtain the current distribution and current efficiency on a rotating disk electrode under controlled current condition. The calculated results compare well with experiments performed using a nickel/nickel sulfate system in the presence of boric acid, The current density is highly nonuniform due to the ohmic drop in the electrolyte. The current efficiency was decreased with the increase of hydrogen concentration as well as applied pulse current density.
