研究室紹介
Professor Kyu-Ho Lee's research lab specializes in the development of advanced two-dimensional nanomaterials, particularly MXenes, for next-generation flexible and wearable electronic devices. The lab focuses on enhancing the environmental stability, conductivity, and optical transparency of MXene-based electrodes while exploring their applications in energy harvesting, artificial synapses, tactile e-skins, and optoelectronic systems. Key research directions include the design of hybrid nanomaterials, such as MXene-silver nanowire composites, and the integration of functional materials into scalable, solution-processed devices for human-interactive intelligent electronics.

15Free-standing and film-type moisture-driven energy generators (MEGs) that harness the preferential interaction of ionized moisture with hydrophilic materials are interesting because of their wearability and portability without needing a water container. However, most such MEGs work in limited humidity conditions, which provide a substantial moisture gradient. Herein, we present a high-performance MEG with sustainable power-production capability in a wide range of environments. The bilayer-based
) are two-dimensional transition-metal carbides and carbonitrides with high conductivity and optical transparency. However, transparent MXene electrodes with high environmental stability suitable for various flexible organic electronic devices have rarely been demonstrated. By laminating a thin polymer film onto a solution-processed MXene layer to protect the MXene film from harsh environmental conditions, we present transparent and flexible MXene electronic devices. A thin polymer layer spin-co
Abstract Artificial photonic synapses with morphologically controlled photoreception, allowing for area‐dependent tunable light reception as well as information storage and learning, have potential for application in emerging photo‐interactive neuro‐computing technologies. Herein, an artificially intelligent (AI) photonic synapse with area‐density‐tunable perovskite nano‐cone arrays templated in a self‐assembled block copolymer (BCP) is presented, which is based on a field effect transistor with
Lightweight and flexible tactile learning machines can simultaneously detect, synaptically memorize, and subsequently learn from external stimuli acquired from the skin. This type of technology holds great interest due to its potential applications in emerging wearable and human-interactive artificially intelligent neuromorphic electronics. In this study, an integrated artificially intelligent tactile learning electronic skin (e-skin) based on arrays of ferroelectric-gate field-effect transistor
Soft ferroelectrics based on organic and organic-inorganic hybrid materials have gained much interest among researchers owing to their electrically programmable and remnant polarization. This allows for the development of numerous flexible, foldable, and stretchable nonvolatile memories, when combined with various crystal engineering approaches to optimize their performance. Soft ferroelectrics have been recently considered to have an important role in the emerging human-connected electronics th
The development of electrodes with high conductivity, optical transparency, and reliable mechanical flexibility and stability is important for numerous solution-processed photoelectronic applications. Although transparent Ti3C2TX MXene electrodes with high conductivity are promising, their suitability for displays remains limited because of the high sheet resistance, which is caused by undesirable flake junctions and surface roughness. Herein, a flexible and tran
Optical encryption technologies based on room-temperature light-emitting materials are of considerable interest. Herein, we present three-dimensional (3D) printable dual-light-emitting materials for high-performance optical pattern encryption. These are based on fluorescent perovskite nanocrystals (NCs) embedded in metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) designed for phosphorescent host-guest interactions. Notably, perovskite-containing MOFs emit a highly efficient blue phosphorescence, and perovskite N
Mechanical properties of biological systems provide useful information about the biochemical status of cells and tissues. Here, an artificial tactile neuron enabling spiking representation of stiffness and spiking neural network (SNN)-based learning for disease diagnosis is reported. An artificial spiking tactile neuron based on an ovonic threshold switch serving as an artificial soma and a piezoresistive sensor as an artificial mechanoreceptor is developed and shown to encode the elastic stiffn
OBJECTIVES: Propofol is commonly used for endoscopic sedation. However, it can induce adverse hemodynamic effects. Remimazolam is known to have a fast onset and short duration comparable to that of propofol, but with fewer effects on hemodynamics. We assessed the Oxygen Reserve Index to verify whether a sedative dose of remimazolam would better preserve oxygenation in the mild hyperoxic range than propofol in sedated patients undergoing diagnostic upper gastrointestinal endoscopy. METHODS: Patie
BACKGROUND: Preventing intraoperative nausea and vomiting (IONV) is crucial for maternal safety during cesarean section under spinal anesthesia. While midazolam is known to prevent IONV, we hypothesized that remimazolam would be superior due to its minimal hemodynamic effects. We compared the effects of the two drugs on IONV. METHODS: Parturients scheduled for cesarean section were randomly assigned to receive either midazolam or remimazolam. They received midazolam 2 mg or remimazolam 5 mg, wit
Artificial Retinas In article number 2105596, Cheolmin Park and co-workers demonstrate artificially intelligent photonic synapses by utilizing position-dependent density tunable photoreceptive perovskite nanoscale cones templated in a self-assembled block copolymer nanostructure. The synapses emulate the human retina with the spatial distribution of cones, and they recognize various visual information with a high degree of accuracy.
