研究室紹介
Professor Kyu Young Lee's research lab focuses on interdisciplinary studies at the intersection of biomedical sciences, materials engineering, and psychological factors in health and performance. The lab investigates neurogenesis and neurodegenerative disease mechanisms, particularly the role of molecular pathways like PI3K and nutraceuticals such as CoQ10 in neuroprotection. It also explores materials science applications in advanced manufacturing and energy systems, including phase shift mask etching and friction welding of high-performance alloys. Additionally, the lab examines psychological and organizational factors influencing learning, empowerment, and service quality in healthcare and educational settings.

15Neurogenesis in the adult brain is important for memory and learning, and the alterations in neural stem cells (NSCs) may be an important part of Alzheimer's disease pathogenesis. The phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K) pathway has been suggested to play an important role in neuronal cell survival and is highly involved in adult neurogenesis. Recently, coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) was found to affect the PI3K pathway. We investigated whether CoQ10 could restore amyloid β (Aβ)25-35 oligomer-inhibited pr
The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of psychological capital on empowerment and learning performance and the mediating effect of the empowerment on the relationship between psychological capital and learning performance. In order to verify the relationships and mediating effect, data were obtained from 283 university students in Ulsan Metropolitan City and were analyzed by using SPSS 12.0, AMOS 5.0. The findings are as follows: First, the psychological capital were positively rela
The purpose of this study includes: the relationships between job characteristics and service quality and the mediating effect of the psychological ownership on the relationship between job characteristics and service quality. In order to verify the relationships and mediating effect, data were collected from 255 nurses in a university hospital at Ulsan city to test theoretical model and its hypotheses. All data collected from the survey were analyzed using with SPSS 18.0. and AMOS 18.0. This st
Attenuated phase shift mask (PSM) have gained wide acceptance in the manufacturing environment during last few years with the advantage of improving DOF margin. However, etching attenuated phase shift film remains a challengeable process that affects several critical mask parameters including critical dimension, side slope and surface damage. In order to select the proper gas mixture condition, we will discuss the results of several experiments, utilizing CHF3 gas mixture, CF4/He/O2 gas mixture
Backgrounds : Carpal tunnel syndrome(CTS) is a common condition that is usually diagnosed by electrophysiologic studies. However, CTS provide limited information to determine the causes of CTS and to choose the treatment method. We evaluated diagnostic sensitivity of MR imaging and treatment decisions by MR imaging in electrodiagnosed CTS. Methods : 14 patients (26 wrists) with electrodiagnosed CTS were studied using MR imaging. In 26 wrists for which axial T1 & T2 weighted images were obtained
