Professor Kyung-Soo Choi's research lab focuses on clinical and public health aspects of medication safety and nutritional status in vulnerable populations, particularly critically ill children and community-dwelling older adults. The lab investigates the impact of malnutrition and polypharmacy on clinical outcomes, with an emphasis on understanding factors influencing medication adherence, drug knowledge, and health-related behaviors. Research directions include nutritional assessment in pediatric intensive care, medication use patterns in elderly populations, and the development of interventions to improve health outcomes through better medication management and nutritional support.

2Introduction: Critically ill children in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) are at high risk for developing nutritional deficiencies and undernutrition is known to be a risk factor for morbidity and mortality. Malnutrition represents a continuous spectrum ranging from marginal nutrient status to severe metabolic and functional alterations and this in turn, affects clinical outcome. 목적 본 연구에서는 지역사회 노인의 다중약물 사용 실태, 약물지식, 약물오남용 행위 및 약물이행도 수준을 확인하고, 이들 간의 상관관계와 약물이행도에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위함이다. 방법 연구설계는 서술적 조사연구이며, 연구대상은 G시 소재 지역사회 노인 230명을 대상으로 하였다. 연구도구는 약물지식, 약물오남용 행위 및 약물이행도 도구를 사용하였으며, 자료수집 기간은 2020년 10월 19일부터 30일 까지였다. 자료분석 방법은 기술통계, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation coefficient, Regression analysis로 분석하였다. 결과 연구결과, 일반적 특성 및 건강특성 종류에 따른 약물지식, 약물오남용 행위, 약물이행도는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 노인의 약물이행도에 유의한 상관관계 변인은 건강정도, 만성질환이었으며, 건강 r=.191의 경우 정적인 상관관계를 보였으며, 만성질환 r=-.307로
