研究室紹介
Professor Lee Junbok's research lab specializes in construction automation, robotics, and safety technology, with a strong focus on developing innovative solutions to enhance productivity and safety in the construction industry. The lab explores BIM-based visual progress control systems, labor productivity modeling, and the application of advanced technologies such as Large Language Models (LLMs) in construction and healthcare. A key research direction involves automating hazardous construction tasks—particularly trenching and pipe laying—through robotic systems to reduce human exposure to dangerous working conditions. The lab also investigates material behavior in construction, such as bond performance of FRP rebars and particulate emissions from cooking processes, reflecting a multidisciplinary approach to engineering and environmental safety.

15Knowledge of labor productivity is essential for cost estimation and progress control. Due to the limited availability of automatic generation technology for integrated information including both physical component attributes (such as spatial information) and managerial attributes (such as allocated resources), research efforts focusing on cost-time integrated progress control theory have been sparse. However, current advances in 3D building information modeling (BIM) applications have allowed f
BACKGROUND: Owing to the rapid growth in the popularity of Large Language Models (LLMs), various performance evaluation studies have been conducted to confirm their applicability in the medical field. However, there is still no clear framework for evaluating LLMs. OBJECTIVE: This study reviews studies on LLM evaluations in the medical field and analyzes the research methods used in these studies. It aims to provide a reference for future researchers designing LLM studies. METHODS & MATERIALS: We
Abstract The bond behavior of reinforcing bars is an important issue in the design of reinforced concrete structures and the use of fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) rebars is a promising solution to handle the problems of steel reinforcement corrosion. This study investigates the bond characteristics of carbon and aramid FRP (CFRP and AFRP) bars embedded in normal strength concrete. A pullout test was performed on 63 normal strength concrete specimens reinforced with FRP and steel rebars with diff
Excavation, and in particular trenching and pipe laying, represent a hazardous working environment for humans. Many hazards exist, including trench walls that can collapse, heavy objects that can be accidentally dropped into the opening, and buried utilities (e.g., power lines) that are damaged during the operation. Workplace safety has become a major concern in the construction industry over the past few decades. The main accident prevention efforts used for trench excavation and pipe installat
Excavation, in particular, trenching, presents a hazardous working environment for workers. Many deadly accidents still occur even though the Occupational Safety and Health Administration has increased its training for safe trenching. The work presented in this paper originated with the belief that the best approach to remedy this problem is technology. Its premise is the need to remove the workers from this deadly trap and replace them with a mechanical device capable of doing the work necessar
Under-fired charbroiling cooking processes are known as important contributors of particulate matter (PM). In this study, we characterized the emission of particulate matters from under-fired charbroiling cooking processes using the hood method. Accumulated mass concentration of <TEX>$PM_{10}$</TEX> was 92.2~99.5% and particle size of 2.0~2.5 <TEX>${\mu}m$</TEX> was highest. The concentration of PM increased very sharply at the beginning of charbroiling meats and then gradually decreased as the
In the construction project, the temporary work is the construction work, which is installed temporarily for the construction of main structure and removed after its completion. Even though it is a temporary facility used and demolished only during the construction phase, it accounts for about 10% of the total construction cost. In addition, it is an important work directly connected to the cost and quality of construction, so that the completeness of the building depends on the technology of th
This study examines the integration of multi-real-option valuation and security token offering (STO) as an innovative approach to real estate project financing. The case study of Aspen Resort Development serves to illustrate this methodology. The traditional discounted cash flow (DCF) method is frequently ill-suited to the dynamic and uncertain nature of long-term real estate projects, particularly in regard to the ability to adapt to market fluctuations. In order to address these limitations, t
It is crucial that the WRMSD is realized as a critical job-related diseases for the construction workers. It is caused by the characteristics of repetitive work, uncomfortable work methods and continuous unsuitable physical posture. The objective of this research is to evaluate the workload for the carpenters and structural steel workers. Investigation on the posture and behavior for the workers as well as personal sensitivity to the workload is conducted. The laboratory tests with graduate stud
In order to improve work efficiency in high-rise apartment building construction, it is required to establish the major criteria and practical method for selecting the construction lifts. It is necessary to analyze work efficiency and economic feasibility depending on speed, size and capacity of lifting equipment and characteristics of construction projects. The purpose of this research is to develop the fundamental process and information for selecting the lift in order to plan and manage the m
This survey study was performed to evaluate the pollution level of playgrounds for children at 49 different sampling sites in Seoul metropolitan. Results were as follows. 1. Soil pH ranged from 6.0 to 9.2. 2. Average concentrations of heavy metals were 0.101 mg/kg of Cd, 4.470 mg/kg of Cu, 0.10 mg/kg of As, 5.35 mg/kg of Pb, 0.017 mg/kg of 0.0051 mg/kg of Hg, which were lower than Korean soil precaution level. 3. The SPCs of all areas were below 100, which is 1st grade. In conclusion, the pollut
