Professor Lee Sukwon's research lab specializes in clinical and translational studies focused on rehabilitation medicine, particularly in improving sitting balance and visual perception in chronic stroke patients through innovative training methods like visual feedback training. The lab also conducts extensive research in oncoplastic breast surgery, including advanced flap techniques for chest wall reconstruction and optimizing cosmetic outcomes after breast-conserving surgery. Additionally, the lab investigates metabolic liver conditions, such as nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, in oncology patients using advanced imaging modalities like MRI. The integration of surgical innovation, rehabilitation, and metabolic health in cancer patients defines the lab’s multidisciplinary approach.

Heterotopic pancreas in the gallbladder is extremely rare and usually incidentally discovered at the pathologic examination followed by cholecystectomy for symptomatic gallbladder disease. Up to the presents, only about 30 cases have been reported. We report the case of a 36-year-old female who presented with symptoms of cholecystitis. The histological analysis followed by cholecystectomy revealed heterotopic pancreas of the cystic duct.

Negligent perforation in the tracheobronchial tree during feeding tube insertion is not uncommon in the elderly, neurologically impaired, and seriously ill patients. Risk factors for feeding tube misplacement include altered mental status, sedation, critical illness, intubation, absent cough reflex, difficult or repeat tube placement, noncompliant behavior, and anatomic abnormalities.
To achieve favorable outcomes and avoid postoperative complications, the mediolateral offset of the humeral tray for lateralized rTSA should be selected based on a comprehensive consideration of clinical symptoms and anatomical characteristics of individual patients.
