Professor Lee Yoon-Jin's research spans interdisciplinary domains, focusing on bioactive natural products and their metabolic impacts, particularly in obesity and mitochondrial health. Her work also extends into statistical modeling of non-negative time series, especially multiplicative error models with flexible conditional moments. Additionally, she investigates signal processing and radar-based target recognition using statistical distributions of radar cross-section data. Her research further includes advanced number theory, particularly in function fields and modular forms, with applications in algebraic number theory and class field theory.

15Decreased energy expenditure and chronically positive energy balance contribute to the prevalence of obesity and associated metabolic dysfunctions, such as dyslipidemia, hepatic fat accumulation, inflammation, and muscle mitochondrial defects. We investigated the effects of Chrysanthemum morifolium Ramat flower extract (CE) on obesity-induced inflammation and muscle mitochondria changes. Sprague–Dawley rats were randomly divided into four groups and fed either a normal diet, 45% high-fat diet (H
We develop a general theory to test correct specification of multiplicative error models of non-negative time-series processes, which include the popular autoregressive conditional duration (ACD) models. Both linear and nonlinear conditional expectation models are covered, and standardized innovations can have time-varying conditional dispersion and higher-order conditional moments of unknown form. No specific estimation method is required, and the tests have a convenient null asymptotic N(0,1)
In this article, we investigate the methods that can realize automatic target recognition and tracking by exploiting signal distribution of radar cross section (RCS) with frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) radar. In doing this we use the real RCS data measured from the short-range FMCW vehicle radar. We estimate the continuous valued degree of freedom and the mean of RCS distribution using maximum likelihood estimation (MLE) assuming that RCS follows gamma distribution. The experiments w
Abstract This paper presents algorithms for computing the two fundamental units and the regulator of a cyclic cubic extension of a rational function field over a field of order q ≡ 1 (mod 3). The procedure is based on a method originally due to Voronoi that was recently adapted to purely cubic function fields of unit rank one. Our numerical examples show that the two fundamental units tend to have large degree, and frequently, the extension has a very small ideal class number. Keywords: Purely c
