Professor Mi-Hye Park's research lab focuses on maternal-fetal medicine and reproductive health, with a strong emphasis on understanding the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying pregnancy complications such as preeclampsia, preterm birth, and fetal aneuploidy. The lab investigates the role of oxidative stress, endothelial dysfunction, and ion channel regulation (particularly KCa channels) in pregnancy disorders, integrating molecular biology with clinical data. It also applies machine learning and big data analytics to predict adverse obstetric outcomes, such as emergent cesarean section and preterm birth, using multicenter clinical datasets. The lab bridges basic science and clinical application to improve maternal and fetal outcomes through precision medicine approaches.
