研究室紹介
Professor Mi Na Park's research lab specializes in clinical and translational neuroimaging, focusing on advanced MRI techniques for early detection and differentiation of neurological disorders. Key research directions include the application of high-field (3T) MRI, diffusion tensor imaging, and contrast-enhanced black-blood imaging to study neurodegenerative diseases, dural lymphatic function in aging, and brain tumor characterization. The lab also explores innovative rehabilitation technologies, such as VR-based systems for stroke recovery, and investigates human-AI interaction through chatbot analytics in healthcare contexts.

15A systematic approach using this diagnostic tree model can be helpful in distinguishing cystic pituitary adenomas from Rathke cleft cysts.
With the rise of aging population, clinical concern and research attention has shifted towards neuroimaging of dementia. The advent of 3T, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has permitted the anatomical imaging of neurodegenerative disease, specifically dementia, with improved resolution. Furthermore, more powerful techniques such as diffusion tensor imaging, quantitative susceptibility mapping, and magnetic transfer imaging have successfully emerged for the detection of micro-structural abnormali
BACKGROUND: Virtual reality (VR)-based rehabilitation is considered a beneficial therapeutic option for stroke rehabilitation. This pilot study assessed the clinical feasibility of a newly developed VR-based planar motion exercise apparatus (Rapael Smart Board™ [SB]; Neofect Inc., Yong-in, Korea) for the upper extremities as an intervention and assessment tool. METHODS: This single-blinded, randomized, controlled trial included 26 stroke survivors. Patients were randomized to the intervention gr
Objectives: Aging is a major risk factor for many neurological disorders and is associated with dural lymphatic dysfunction. We sought to evaluate the association of aging with the volume of the peri-sinus lymphatic space using contrast-enhanced 3T T1-weighted black-blood magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Methods: In this retrospective study, 165 presumed neurologically normal subjects underwent brain MRIs for cancer staging between April and November 2018. The parasagittal peri-sinus lymphatic
Our preliminary evidence using histogram analysis of DCE-MRI parameters based on the whole tumor volume suggests that it might be useful for differentiating SCC from malignant lymphoma of the oropharynx.
Chatbots enable machines to emulate human conversation, and recent developments have resulted in many online systems for the public to use. Although a few studies have investigated how humans interact with such programs, we are not aware of any that have analyzed transcripts in depth. In this study, students interacted with two Web-based chatbots, Rose and Mitsuku, for five minutes and evaluated how well they thought the software emulated human conversation. We reviewed the transcripts and found
BACKGROUND: Heterogeneous echogenicity of the thyroid gland has been associated with diffuse thyroid disease and benign and malignant nodules can coexist with diffuse thyroid disease. Underlying heterogeneous echogenicity might make it difficult to differentiate between benign and malignant nodules on US. Thus, the aim of this study was to evaluate the influence of underlying thyroid echogenicity on diagnosis of thyroid malignancies using US. METHODS: A total of 1,373 patients who underwent US-g
By applying SAFIRE2, the radiation dose could be reduced by up to 50% compared with the standard-of-care abdominal CT protocol without increasing image noise and without deteriorating diagnostic performance for the detection of hepatic metastasis.
Objectives. This study assessed the correlation between performance intelligence and the postoperative cochlear implant (CI) outcome in Korean-speaking children. In addition, the relationship between the performance intelligence subscales and the post-CI speech outcome was evaluated. Materials and Methods. Thirteen pediatric CI users (five males, eight females; median age at implantation 6.2 (range 1.3-14.2) years; median age at intelligence test 9.3 (range 5-16) years) who were tested using the
본 시험은 토종닭의 교배 조합이 생산성과 도체율에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위하여 수행되었다. 공시계는 4개 교배 조합으로 발생된 3원 교잡종 초생추를 이용하였다. 시험 설계는 재래계와 육용계의 교배 조합에 의해 부화된 4계통을 각각 A(CS<TEX>$\times$</TEX>H), B(CH<TEX>$\times$</TEX>S), C(RS<TEX>$\times$</TEX>H), D(LH<TEX>$\times$</TEX>B)로 하고 암수를 구분하였으며, 계통과 성별에 따라 각각 10수씩 9반복으로 총 90수를 완전 임의 배치하였다. 시험사료는 한국가금사양표준 (2007)에서 제시한 옥수수-대두박 위주의 준육용계 사료를 육계 초기(CP 20.0%, ME 3,050 kcal/kg), 전기(CP 18.0%, ME 3,100 kcal/kg) 및 후기 사료(CP 16.0%, ME 3,150 kcal/kg)로 나누고, 자체 제작하여 공시하였다. 체중과 섭취량은 매주 측정하였고, 도체율은 각각, 5주
OBJECTIVES: Complex regional pain syndrome-1 is a chronic neuropathic disorder, and poststroke complex regional pain syndrome (PS-CRPS) is not a rare complication. There is a lack of study implementing the Budapest criteria for PS-CRPS diagnosis. Thus, the present study investigated the validity of the Budapest criteria for PS-CRPS diagnosis and assessed the PS-CRPS-related factors in stroke patients with an affected upper extremity. METHODS: The study included 72 patients with first-ever stroke
Traumatic anosmia increased the inter-network connectivity observed with rs-fMRI in the olfactory and global brain functional networks. rs-fMRI parameters may serve as potential biomarkers for traumatic anosmia by revealing a more widespread functional damage than previously expected.
