Abstract With an increasing demand for artificial intelligence, the emulation of the human brain in neuromorphic computing has led to an extraordinary result in not only simulating synaptic dynamics but also reducing complex circuitry systems and algorithms. In this work, an artificial electronic synaptic device based on a synthesized MoS 2 memristor array (4 × 4) is demonstrated; the device can emulate synaptic behavior with the simulation of deep neural network (DNN) learning. MoS 2 film is di

Clinical Features of Ocular Motility in Idiopathic Orbital Myositis
Min Seok Kang, Hee Kyung Yang, Namju Kim, Jeong‐Min Hwang
SJR Q1Journal of Clinical MedicineOA

Objective: To elucidate the clinical features of ocular motility and the risk factors for recurrence in idiopathic orbital myositis. METHODS: The medical records of 31 patients diagnosed with idiopathic orbital inflammation between 2003 and 2019 were retrospectively reviewed. All patients were initially treated with corticosteroids. Treatment outcome and ocular motility were noted. RESULTS: Twenty-six patients (84%) had unilateral involvement and five patients (16%) were bilateral. Of the 31 pat

(LPILI: Learners' Perception of Interaction between Learner and Instructor)’

A pterygium is a common conjunctival degeneration and inflammatory condition. It grows onto the corneal surface or limbus, causing blurred vision and cosmetic issues. Ultraviolet is a well-known risk factor for the development of a pterygium, although its pathogenesis remains unclear, with only limited understanding of its hereditary basis. In this study, we collected RNA-seq from both pterygial tissues and conjunctival tissues (as controls) from six patients (a total of twelve biological sample

Long-term efficacy of botulinum toxin for treatment of acquired non-accommodative comitant esotropia
Min Seok Kang, J Park, Hee Kyung Yang, Jeong‐Min Hwang
SJR Q1Scientific ReportsOA

Acquired non-accommodative comitant esotropia (ANAET) represents a distinct subclass of esotropia that predominantly manifests in older children and adults. Injection of Botulinum Toxin A (BTX) to the extraocular muscle has been used to treat strabismus and a variety of other ocular conditions. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the long-term effectiveness of BTX injections for treating ANAET. In the Department of Ophthalmology at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital between the years 201

Multiple Synchronous Central Giant Cell Granulomas of the Maxillofacial Region: A Case Report
Min Seok Kang, Hak Jin Kim
SJR Q4Journal of the Korean Society of RadiologyOA

Multifocal central giant cell granulomas (CGCG) in the maxillofacial region are suggestive of systemic disease such as hyperparathyroidism or an inherited syndrome such as Noonan-like multiple giant cell lesion syndrome. Only 5 cases of multifocal CGCGs in the maxillofacial region without any concomitant systemic disease have currently been reported. We report here on an unusual case of 17-year-old man who presented with multifocal CGCGs of the bilateral posterior mandible and right maxilla and

SJR Q1Journal of Clinical MedicineOA

Objective: To investigate the morphometric characteristics of the oculomotor nerve and its association with horizontal rectus muscle volume in patients with Duane’s retraction syndrome (DRS) according to the presence of the abducens nerve. Methods: Fifty patients diagnosed with unilateral DRS were divided into two groups according to high-resolution magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings; DRS without an abducens nerve on the affected side (absent group, n = 41), and DRS with symmetric abducen
