Professor Min-seon Bae's research lab specializes in breast imaging and radiology, focusing on improving the detection and prognosis of aggressive breast cancers, particularly triple-negative and early-stage disease. The lab investigates the role of advanced medical imaging—such as ultrasound, mammography, and MRI—in identifying subtle tumor features, predicting treatment response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy, and assessing risk of recurrence. Key research directions include the correlation between imaging characteristics and pathological outcomes, the impact of breast density and preoperative imaging on clinical decision-making, and the clinicopathological features of cancers detected through screening modalities. Rhinocerebral mucormycosis is an acute fulminant opportunistic fungal infection usually seen in diabetic or immunocompromised patients.
