Professor Nam-sik Han's research lab focuses on understanding the complex interplay between psychological factors such as social anxiety, peer relationships, and social support in adolescents, with a particular emphasis on bullying dynamics and mental health. The lab also engages in molecular and genetic research, especially in cancer biology, where it investigates therapeutic strategies for diseases like chronic myeloid leukemia through network-based simulations and targeted gene delivery using chimeric nanoparticles. The integration of behavioral science and molecular therapeutics defines the lab’s interdisciplinary approach.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the ways in which relations among Korean middle-school students' interpersonal relationships, peer bullying, and social support affected the degree of social anxiety they experienced.
