Professor Sangjun Yoo's research lab focuses on urological oncology and lower urinary tract diseases, with a strong emphasis on prostate cancer, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and urothelial carcinoma. The lab investigates advanced imaging techniques such as multiparametric MRI for cancer detection and characterization, explores the role of metabolic and lifestyle factors in prostate and bladder diseases, and examines novel biomarkers—including the microbiome and vitamin D—linked to disease progression and symptom burden. The lab also evaluates the impact of diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, such as ureteroscopic biopsy and systemic therapies in castration-resistant prostate cancer.
