Professor Seok Jin Nam's research lab focuses on translational breast cancer research, with a particular emphasis on understanding the molecular and clinical characteristics of breast cancer in Asian populations, especially younger, pre-menopausal patients. The lab investigates molecular subtypes, treatment response mechanisms—particularly to endocrine and neoadjuvant therapies—and the role of key signaling pathways such as TGF-β in aggressive phenotypes like triple-negative breast cancer. They also explore predictive biomarkers and imaging modalities to improve risk stratification and personalized treatment strategies.
