Professor Seong Heon Kim's research lab focuses on pediatric nephrology and molecular mechanisms underlying kidney diseases, particularly focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) and minimal change nephrotic syndrome (MCNS). The lab investigates the genetic, immunological, and pathophysiological basis of these conditions using animal models, clinical studies, and advanced molecular techniques. A key emphasis is placed on understanding steroid resistance, disease progression, and identifying novel therapeutic targets to improve renal outcomes in children.
