Professor Seopil Park's research lab specializes in spinal surgery and spinal disorders, with a strong focus on degenerative spinal conditions such as lumbar spinal stenosis and thoracolumbar burst fractures. The lab investigates minimally invasive surgical techniques—including biportal endoscopic spine surgery and percutaneous pedicle screw fixation—to improve clinical and radiological outcomes while reducing surgical trauma. A key research direction involves optimizing spinal instrumentation and implant fixation in osteoporotic bone, exploring pharmacological agents like romosozumab to enhance osseointegration and mechanical stability. The lab also conducts clinical and radiographic evaluations of upper cervical spine pathologies, particularly retro-odontoid masses and their surgical management.
