Professor Seung-Hyuk Lim's research lab specializes in clinical and translational oncology, with a focus on thyroid and liver cancers, as well as infectious complications in solid organ transplantation. The lab investigates molecular biomarkers such as lymph node ratio and tumor-specific mutations to improve risk stratification and recurrence prediction in thyroid cancer. It also explores host-pathogen interactions, particularly in multidrug-resistant infections like carbapenem-resistant *Acinetobacter baumannii* bacteremia following liver transplantation, and evaluates preventive strategies in urological and infectious diseases. The lab integrates genomics, clinical epidemiology, and outcome analysis to enhance patient management in transplant and oncology settings.
