공항 산업은 최근 인공지능(AI) 기술을 활용한 디지털 전환을 가속화하고 있으며, 그 중 생체인식기술은 비접촉식 자동화와 보안 강화 측면에서 핵심 인프라로 부상하고 있다. 그러나 생체인식 기술은고도로 민감한 개인정보를 포함하는 고위험 AI로 간주되며, 효율성 외에도 공정성, 설명 가능성, 책임성, 개인정보 보호 등 ‘책임감 있는 AI(Responsible AI)’ 원칙의 제도적 구현이 필수적이다. 본 연구는유럽연합(EU), 미국, 중국, 대한민국을 비교 사례로 설정하여, 각국 공항 산업에서 AI 기반 생체인식기술이 ‘책임감 있는 AI’ 원칙에 따라 어떻게 제도화되고 운영되고 있는지를 질적 비교 사례연구방식으로 분석하였다. 특히, 개인정보 보호 수준, 고위험 AI 지정 여부, 책임 구조, 국제 규범 수용성과같은 핵심 분석 영역을 중심으로 각국의 제도적 강도와 실행력을 비교하였다. 연구 결과, 강한 법적기반과 제도적 강제력을 가진 국가일수록 책임 원칙의 실현 수준이 높았으며, 기술 확산
