Professor Seung-kyun Hwang's research lab focuses on translational neuroscience and interventional medicine, with a strong emphasis on cerebrovascular diseases, brain tumors, and chronic disease management. The lab investigates innovative therapeutic strategies such as stem cell-based gene therapy for malignant gliomas, endovascular interventions for intracranial aneurysms, and pharmacological management of acute hypertension in intracerebral hemorrhage. It also explores health system factors influencing long-term outcomes in patients with hypertension, diabetes, and hypercholesterolemia, highlighting the importance of continuity of care. The lab integrates clinical research with preclinical development to improve patient outcomes in neurological and cardiovascular conditions.
