研究室紹介
Professor Sibopark's research lab specializes in musculoskeletal rehabilitation, focusing on the biomechanics of movement, work-related musculoskeletal disorders, and the application of wearable technology in patient rehabilitation. The lab investigates gait analysis, ergonomic interventions, and neuromuscular activity in diverse populations, including stroke survivors, musicians, office workers, and athletes. Key research directions include the development and evaluation of wearable robotic devices, the diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal pain syndromes, and the use of objective measurement tools such as 3D motion analysis and pressure algometry. The lab emphasizes evidence-based, individualized rehabilitation strategies to improve functional outcomes and prevent chronic pain.

15Robot-assisted ambulatory training has become an increasingly popular method of rehabilitation. The present study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of robot-assisted training on walking by measuring changes in gait pattern. In this pilot study, a lightweight, modular, wearable lower-limb robot that supports walking was tested in two male patients who became hemiplegic because of stroke. Wearing the lower-limb robot, 12 weeks of ambulatory training was conducted, 3 days a week, for 45 minutes p
Objectives: This study was conducted to investigate the prevalence of playing-related musculoskeletal disorders (PRMDs) of some music college freshmen majoring in string instruments. Methods: The study subjects were 199 freshmen majoring in strings at three colleges in Seoul and surrounds. The symptom prevalence and related factors of PRMDs were surveyed with a self-administered questionnaire. The Southampton Protocol was used to diagnose PRMDs. Results: The freshmen had played for 9 years and
Objective To apply tailored rehabilitation education to video display terminal (VDT) workers with musculoskeletal pain and to assess changes in musculoskeletal pain after rehabilitation education. Methods A total of 8,828 VDT workers were screened for musculoskeletal disorders using a self-report questionnaire. Six hundred twenty-six VDT workers selected based on their questionnaires were enrolled in musculoskeletal rehabilitation education, which consisted of education on VDT syndrome and confir
Objective: To determine if physical factors (age, sex, weight, foot length) affected anteroposterior and intersidal weight- bearing pattern on footplate in standing posture and duration of stance phase at walking.Method: Participants were 578 healthy adults (250 men, 328 women). All participants were tested by GaitviewⓇ (Alfoots, Seoul, Korea) which measure anteroposterior, intersidal weight-bearing pattern on foot plate and duration of stance phase at walking. Measurements were analyzed to find
The purpose of this study is to analyze forearm muscle activity throughout phases of the golf swing. Using surface electrode electromyography, we evaluated muscle activity in 15 male golfers during the golf swing according to value of root mean square. Surface electrodes were used to record the level of muscle activity in the right flexor carpi radialis (FCR), right extensor carpi radialis (ECR), left FCR and left ECR muscles during the golfer's swing. There were no significant difference among
Objective To assess the usefulness of a pressure algometer to measure pressure pain threshold (PPT) for diagnosis of myofascial pain syndrome (MPS) in the upper extremity and trunk muscles. Method A group of 221 desk workers complaining of upper body pain participated in this study. Five physiatrists made the diagnosis of MPS using physical examination and PPT measurements. PPT measurements were determined for several muscles in the back and upper extremities. Mean PPT data for gender, side, and
Objective : This study was carried out to investigate if the measurement of range of motion(ROM) could be applied in the diagnosis of Myofascial Pain Syndrome(MPS) and to determine the severity by analyzing ROM in MPS patients. Methods : The study subjects were 476 female telephone number information service workers. Southampton Protocol and Pittsburgh Protocol were used to diagnose MPS and to measure ROM. ROMs were measured by 2 inclinometers exercising each shoulder passively and actively in
=Objective : The purposes of this study are compare the differences of golf skill improvement change factor(driving distance, head speed, shot efficiency) and flexibility change factor(range of motion, ROM) after 5 minutes(short) and 30 minutes(long) stretching. Method: Subjects were consisted with 20 professionals in Korean Professional Golf Association, 22 amateurs, and 16 beginners which were total of 58 players. Inclinometer was used on ROM measurement and Distance Caddy was used for diving
