Professor So Hee Lee's research lab focuses on translational biomedical research with a strong emphasis on respiratory diseases, neurodegenerative disorders, and medical imaging. The lab investigates the interplay between immune regulation, gut microbiota, and systemic diseases such as asthma and Alzheimer’s disease, while also developing advanced MRI phantoms for validating quantitative susceptibility mapping in neuroimaging. Their work bridges clinical phenotyping, molecular mechanisms, and diagnostic technology innovation.

Fabrication of a spherical multi-compartment MRI phantom is demonstrated that can be used to validate magnetic resonance (MR)-based susceptibility imaging reconstruction. The present study demonstrated that the Korean version of the ECRHS screening questionnaire was comprehensible, reliable and valid. We suggest the questionnaire to be utilized in further epidemiological studies for asthma in Korean adult populations.
Purpose: There are no specific tools for measurement of the severity of chronic cough in Korea.
