Professor Soon-Tae Lee's research lab focuses on translational neuroscience, particularly in developing innovative therapeutic strategies for neurological disorders such as stroke, Alzheimer’s disease, and epileptic encephalopathies. The lab investigates neuroprotective mechanisms using stem cell therapy, microRNA modulation, and natural compounds like ginseng, while also pioneering personalized biomedical devices for real-time, on-demand treatment of acute neurological emergencies. A key emphasis is on targeting neuroinflammation, synaptic plasticity, and seizure control through molecular, cellular, and implantable technologies.
