Professor Suh Jihyun's research lab specializes in innovation studies, with a focus on the socio-technical dynamics of technology adoption and diffusion. The lab investigates the temporal and institutional factors that shape the success or failure of emerging technologies, particularly in the context of national innovation systems. Drawing on longitudinal case studies—such as South Korea’s WiBro wireless broadband initiative—the lab examines how diverse actors, strategic visions, and market forces interact over time to influence technological trajectories. The research also explores the role of policy, industry coordination, and market competition in shaping innovation outcomes.
