Professor Suk-in Park's research lab focuses on the tumor microenvironment, particularly the cellular crosstalk between cancer cells and stromal cells in metastatic niches. The lab investigates the role of osteoblasts and other bone-resident stromal cells in promoting tumor progression and metastasis, especially in cancers such as prostate, breast, and lung cancer. Using integrative approaches combining molecular biology, in vivo models, and tumor microenvironment analysis, the lab aims to uncover key regulatory mechanisms driving bone metastasis and to identify novel therapeutic targets. Their work emphasizes the dynamic interactions within the metastatic microenvironment to develop effective intervention strategies.
