Professor Sul-hee Baek's research lab specializes in clinical and translational neuroscience, focusing on neuroimmunological disorders and neurodegenerative diseases. The lab investigates biomarkers and imaging techniques—such as CSF MOG-IgG testing, diffusion tensor imaging (DTI), and facial nerve ultrasonography—to improve the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment monitoring of conditions like autoimmune encephalitis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), fibromyalgia, and Bell’s palsy. A key focus is on identifying objective, measurable indicators of disease progression and treatment response, particularly through neuroimaging and neurophysiological assessments.
