Professor Sun Ah Choi's research lab focuses on pediatric neurology and epilepsy, with a strong emphasis on understanding the pathophysiology of neurological disorders and developing innovative therapeutic strategies. The lab investigates the use of mesenchymal stem cells, particularly adipose-derived MSCs, as targeted gene delivery vehicles for brain tumors such as brainstem gliomas. It also explores adverse drug reactions to antiseizure medications using electronic health data, and examines factors influencing recovery from conditions like Bell’s palsy and outcomes following epilepsy surgery in children.
