Professor Sung-eun Hwang's research lab specializes in translational biomedical research, focusing on neurology, epilepsy, and pharmacogenomics. The lab investigates genetic and neurophysiological mechanisms underlying treatment response and disease progression in epilepsy and breast cancer, with an emphasis on identifying biomarkers and optimizing therapeutic strategies. OBJECTIVES: We evaluated and compared the 3-year retention rates of levetiracetam (LEV), topiramate (TPM), and oxcarbazepine (OXC) in patients with epilepsy in routine clinical practice.
