Professor Sung-soo Kim's research spans interdisciplinary domains, primarily focusing on behavioral dynamics in tourism, constitutional law in South Korea, and financial regulatory systems. His work explores how psychological factors like novelty-seeking influence tourist behavior and destination loyalty, while also examining the constitutional interpretation of economic rights and property in South Korea. Additionally, he investigates structural reforms in financial governance, particularly the institutional transformation of financial supervision. His research integrates social science, legal theory, and public policy to address contemporary challenges in governance and human behavior.

This study examined the extent to which novelty-seeking tendency influences the direction or strength of the relationship between satisfaction and tourists' behavioral intentions. 대통령 그리고 정부의 정책에 대한 국민적 지지와 요구는 국민이 피부로느끼고 실감하는 정책효과와 언론매체가 사회에 전달하는 메시지에 큰 영향을 받는다. 본 논문은 노무현 정부가 한미 FTA에 대한 구체적인 정보를 확보하지 못한 상황에서 일방적인 대통령과 정부의 홍보에 집중하였고, 이 때문에 한미FTA에 대한 국민들의 태도는 결국 이데올로기적 대립으로 변질되고 말았다는 사실에 주목한다. 대립의 영역에서 한국사회의 보수와 진보를 나타내는 다양한 상징들이 동원되는 과정들이 나타났다. 그 결과 가장 중요한 정책문제가 한미 FTA에 대한 찬성과 반대라는 이미지 형성으로 인해 결국 이데올로기적으로 변질되고 말았다. 결국 우여곡절 끝에 한국과 미국은 재협상을 통하여 FTA협정을 체결하였다. 하지만 사회적 갈등의 폭은 줄어들고 있지 않다. 그 이유는 이명박 정부에서도 한미 FTA의 당위성을 역설하고 있을 뿐이고 구체적인 정책대응을 내놓지 않고 있기 때문이다. 아직도 우리는 한미 FTA의 효과에 대해
