Professor Sung Wook Lee's research lab specializes in clinical and diagnostic neuroscience, with a primary focus on vestibular disorders, cerebrovascular diseases of the posterior circulation, and intracranial tumors involving the auditory and vestibular pathways. The lab investigates the pathophysiology of Meniere’s disease, dorsal medullary infarction, and intralabyrinthine schwannoma through advanced neuro-otological testing, including caloric and head-impulse testing, as well as neuroimaging and angiographic analysis. Key research directions include the characterization of vestibular dysfunction during acute phases of disease, the role of collateral circulation in posterior circulation stroke outcomes, and the differential diagnosis of vestibular and auditory pathologies using quantitative and qualitative clinical assessments.
