Professor Tae-Dong Jeong's research lab specializes in clinical and translational nephrology, with a focus on renal function assessment, biomarker discovery, and the pathophysiological links between kidney disease, bone metabolism, and cardiovascular health. The lab investigates the accuracy of glomerular filtration rate (GFR) estimation equations in the Korean population and evaluates novel biomarkers such as neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL) for early detection of acute kidney injury.
