Professor Tae Hoon Kim's research lab focuses on the molecular mechanisms underlying upper airway inflammatory diseases, with a particular emphasis on allergic rhinitis, chronic rhinosinusitis, and nasal polyposis. The lab investigates the interplay of genetics, epigenetics, oxidative stress, and the nasal microbiome in disease pathogenesis, while also exploring innovative drug delivery strategies via the nasal route. Current research directions include the role of prostaglandins, redox imbalance, and immune modulation through microbiota and host interactions.
