Professor Tae Hwan Yoon's research lab specializes in orthopedic regenerative medicine and arthroscopic surgery, with a focus on improving outcomes in soft tissue and bone repair. The lab investigates tissue engineering strategies using stem cells and growth factors to enhance wound healing and tendon regeneration, particularly in rotator cuff and knee joint injuries. Key research directions include optimizing surgical techniques—such as posterior interval slide and bone marrow stimulation—for large and massive rotator cuff tears, as well as evaluating long-term clinical and radiological outcomes after osteotomies and grafting procedures.
