Professor Taebok Kim's research lab specializes in supply chain optimization, focusing on integrated decision-making in manufacturing and distribution systems. The lab investigates joint lot-sizing, production allocation, and ordering policies across multi-echelon supply chains, with particular emphasis on cost minimization, transportation efficiency, and sustainable practices such as product recovery and remanufacturing. Research also extends to production ramp-up management in dynamic environments, addressing challenges arising from shortening product lifecycles and increasing demand volatility. The lab combines mathematical modeling with practical industrial applications to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.
