Professor Tak Kyu Oh's research lab specializes in critical care medicine and oncological anesthesia, with a strong focus on identifying prognostic biomarkers and optimizing surgical outcomes in critically ill and cancer patients. The lab investigates the role of systemic inflammatory markers—particularly the CRP/albumin ratio—in predicting short- and long-term mortality in ICU and postoperative populations. It also explores the impact of anesthetic techniques, such as propofol-based total intravenous anesthesia (TIVA), on cancer recurrence and survival, especially in non-small cell lung and gastric cancers.
