Professor Wuyoung Kim's research lab focuses on translational oncology and molecular mechanisms underlying cancer progression, with a particular emphasis on breast cancer, uterine sarcoma, and cervical cancer. The lab investigates key signaling pathways such as TGF-β/Smad and HIF-1α, exploring their roles in tumor angiogenesis, stemness, and metastasis. Additionally, the lab examines post-surgical outcomes, including chest tightness and upper-limb dysfunction after breast cancer surgery, aiming to improve patient quality of life. Recent work also explores the therapeutic potential of cannabinoids like CBD in modulating tumor microenvironment and cancer cell behavior.

Parathyroidectomy was not an optimal procedure for achieving all the biochemical parameters recommended by the NKF-K/DOQI.
