Professor Ye Sul Oh's research lab focuses on modern and contemporary British and Irish literature, with a particular emphasis on poetic forms, memory, and national identity. The lab explores how literary texts function as cultural archives, especially through the lens of elegy, mourning, and the representation of collective memory. It investigates the intersections between literature, historical trauma, and institutional spaces such as museums, especially in post-colonial and post-conflict contexts. The lab also examines temporal structures in poetry, particularly the reimagining of time and loss in canonical and marginalized voices.
