Professor Yeonrim Seo's research lab focuses on the genetic and molecular mechanisms underlying rare and complex human diseases, particularly neuromuscular disorders, sarcomas, and pulmonary hypertension. The lab integrates whole-exome sequencing, genomic profiling, and functional studies to identify disease-causing mutations and understand their pathophysiological impacts. Key research directions include the genomics of gliosarcoma and neuroblastoma, the role of growth factors like CTGF in vascular remodeling, and the genetic basis of myofibrillar myopathies and muscular dystrophies.
