研究室紹介

Professor Yong-won Park's research lab specializes in maternal-fetal medicine and perinatal health, focusing on prenatal diagnostics, fetal hemodynamics, and the impact of environmental and lifestyle factors on pregnancy outcomes. Key research directions include the clinical significance of Doppler velocimetry in pregnancies with borderline amniotic fluid index, biomarkers for premature rupture of membranes, and the molecular mechanisms linking nicotine exposure to anti-angiogenic factors like sFlt-1 and sEng in placental and endothelial cells. The lab also explores broader health and urban development issues, such as the socioeconomic impact of infrastructure changes on urban land values. These interdisciplinary efforts reflect a strong commitment to improving maternal and neonatal health through clinical, cellular, and public health research.

Abnormal Doppler velocimetry is related to adverse perinatal outcome for borderline amniotic fluid index during third trimester
Ja‐Young Kwon, Han Sung Kwon, Young Han Kim, Yong-Won Park
SJR Q2Journal of obstetrics and gynaecology researchOA

AIM: To evaluate the relationship between abnormal Doppler velocimetry and adverse perinatal outcomes in pregnancies with borderline amniotic fluid index (AFI). METHODS: Medical records of 3740 pregnancies with known AFI and Doppler velocimetry measurements within 2 weeks of delivery, and delivered between January 1996 and December 2003, were retrospectively analyzed. Borderline AFI was defined as 5 cm < AFI < or = 8 cm. For the umbilical artery, Doppler velocimetry was considered abnormal when

BACKGROUND: To determine whether the measurement of beta-human chorionic gonadotropin (beta-HCG) level in the vaginal washing fluid could be useful for the diagnosis of premature rupture of membranes. METHODS: Totally, 120 pregnant women were enrolled in this study. Subjects were divided into four groups [group I, no preterm labor and term delivery (n = 38); group II, preterm labor and term delivery (n = 12); group III, preterm labor and consequent premature delivery (n = 24); group IV, preterm

OBJECTIVES: To evaluate the effect of nicotine on the production of soluble fms-like tyrosine kinase-1 (sFlt-1) and soluble endoglin (sEng) in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) and trophoblast cells, and to assess the involvement of alpha 7 nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (alpha7 nAChR) in this process. METHODS: Commercially available full-term placental trophoblasts and HUVECs derived from the umbilical cord of a normal pregnancy were used. The expression of alpha7 nAChR was asse

A STUDY ON THE EFFECT OF STREET IMPROVEMENT IN SHOPPING STREETS ON CHANGES OF AWARENESS OF MERCHANTS AND VISITORS

Journal of Architecture and Planning (Transactions of AIJ)OA

Recently, in many shopping streets, vacant shops have been increasing due to changes in consumer behavior, aging of merchants. Also, because of the evolution of the internet and transportation, consumers can purchase products quickly and easily through the internet and supermarkets. As a result, consumers no longer need to go shopping directly, so it is expected that in the future, consumers will no longer go to shopping streets to purchase products. Accordingly, the survival of shopping streets

Adaptive Scheduling Using Support Vector Machine on Heterogeneous Distributed Systems
Yong-Won Park

Since the advent of the modern von Neumann computer in the 1940s, startling advances have been made in computing technology with the creation of innovative, reliable, and faster electronic components, from vacuum tubes to transistors. Computing power has risen exponentially over relatively brief periods of time as Moore’s law projected a salient trend for the growth in memory-chip performance, estimating the capacity of the integrated circuit to double every 18 months. Although these development

Evaluation of Representative Rigidity Index of Korean Soft Deposit for Piezocone Test and Its Application to Estimation of Horaizontal Coefficient of Consolidation
Yong-Won Park, Nam-Sil Gu, Young-Sang Kim
Journal of the Korean Society of Civil Engineers

In this study, unconfined compression test and triaxial test were performed to evalute a representative rigidity index () of Korean soft deposit, which should be required to estimate a coefficient of consolidation from the piezocone dissipation test. From these test results, representative rigidity indices were proposed as 27 for the western coast soft deposit, 29 for the sourthern coast soft deposit, and 22 for the eastern coast soft deposit. Those proposed rigidify indices were applied to anal
